Dr. Greene received his master's degree in Psychology: Counseling and Guidance
from the University of Northern Colorado and his doctorate in Human Resource
Development from Colorado State University. He spent over fifteen years serving
in a variety of public and private counseling agencies, most recently serving
as director of adult outpatient and emergency services for Larimer County,
Colorado. He became a full-time faculty member at the University of Saint Mary
in 1994, and has at one time or another coordinated the Applied Psychology,
Psychology and Graduate Psychology programs. He is particularly interested
in counseling psychology and social psychology, and has conducted research
in the area of chronic illnesses, especially diabetes.

Les Hemphill, Ph.D.

Dr. Hemphill received his master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from the
University of Tulsa and his doctorate in Counselor Education from Kansas State
University. He has worked as a probation counselor with adolescents and as
a psychologist at the state prison in Lansing. He has also worked part-time
conducting individual and group therapy and providing emergency services for
Pawnee Mental Health Services in Concordia, Kansas. He taught full-time at
Haskell Indian Junior College (now Haskell Indian Nations University) and at
Cloud County Community College. In 1998 he took the position of Director of
Advisement and Counseling at Cloud County Community College where he remained
until 2008 when he took the position of Director of Undergraduate and Graduate
Psychology Programs at the University of Saint Mary’s Overland Park campus.
He is particularly interested in developing programs and services that meet
the needs of students with psychological and physical disabilities as well
as non-traditional and first-generation students.

Mary E. Matzeder, Ph.D.

Dr. Matzeder received a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of
Tulsa and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. Her
area of specialization is child clinical psychology and her pre-doctoral internship
was completed in child psychology at the University of New Mexico. Other professional
interests include: psychotherapy and evaluations for adults, family and in-home
therapy, women's issues and career development.

Cathy Bogart, Ph.D.

Dr. Bogart has an M.A. in General Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Psychology
from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has five years of experience
doing individual and couples psychotherapy. Dr. Bogart received her Ph.D. in
Experimental Psychology from the University of Kansas and did a Post-doctoral
Fellowship in Biological Psychology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences
Center. She has published articles in many journals, including Alcohol, Women & Health,
the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Teaching of Psychology.

Nancy King, Ph.D.

Dr. King received a M.S. in Psychology of Sport/Exercise Physiology and a Ph.D.
in Psychology of Sport/Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas.
Dr. King's areas of professional interest include: peak performance in athletes
and health psychology. After serving as the counselor and coordinator of drug
education at Saint Mary College for three years, she became a full-time faculty
member in 1994.

Leif Leaf, Ph.D.

Dr. Leaf directs the Applied Psychology program at the University of Saint
Mary and teaches in the graduate program. His Ph.D. is in Counseling Psychology
from Indiana State University. Dr. Leaf also has a M. A. degree in Speech Pathology
and Audiology from California State University. He is a licensed psychologist
in several states including both Kansas and Missouri. Currently, he is in private
practice in Leavenworth and Olathe where he provides psychotherapy services
and conducts psychological/neuropsychological evaluations.

Arthur Ross Jr., Ph.D.

Dr. Ross received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and his M.A. in Counseling
and Guidance from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. He has taught
undergraduate/graduate courses in psychology as an adjunct since 1996. Dr.
Ross is a licensed psychologist in Kansas and Missouri and he currently works
as a Forensic Team Psychologist at Johnson County Mental Health Center. Other
interests include dual diagnosis, addiction and sports psychology.
