OVERVIEW

The Master of Arts Psychology Program provides an advanced knowledge of the behavioral sciences and suits a broad range of students, such as those interested in:

  • Practicing as a master's level clinician in a mental health center or hospital.Program Coordinator Mary Matzeder
  • Working with children and families.
  • Using a knowledge of psychology to enhance performance in another career field, such as teaching or coaching
  • Pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology.
  • Entering private practice.
 

Program Features
  • Accelerated courses; most are one class per week for eight weeks
  • Two tracks: General Track requiring 37 credit hours, or Counseling Track totaling 48 credit hours.
  • Small class sizes, allowing students to have meaningful interactions with their classmates and instructors
  • Two locations: Overland Park and Kansas City, KS

Class Schedule
  • Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. to 9:50 p.m.
  • Terms begin January 18 and March 17
  • Start at any term.

We recommend that program applicants submit their application materials at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the term.
